My name is Janja and I come from a beautiful country in the heart of Europe - Slovenia. I really like meeting new people and exploring other cultures. In my opinion every single person is unique and can contribute to a better world by making just small gestures like a friendly smile. I chose medicine as my main occupation in life and I hope that I will be able to help people improving their lifes, health...

PHILOSOPHY

That's a good question: Why do I live my life?...I think I am slowly figuring it out. I think love is something that truly defines me...without love, people would be nothing. Love to your family, love for your friends, love for people you just met; of course, there are different kinds of love. So my personal philosophy is simple (from te movie Love Story): "Love means never having to say you're sorry".

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to meet new people and I think that's great. Nowadays everyone seems to be afraid of different cultures, but couchsurfing brings people together! It's like diversity in a unity!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had my first couchsurfing experience in 2008 and I did not know what to expect, although my boyfriend told me that it is a great way for meeting new people and travelling. I was really lucky as me and my boyfriend stayed at such lovely homes, everyone was nice and friendly and we had a great time. This year we travelled through Ireland and Scotland and we were couchsurfing as well. It was so lovely. It's amazing when you see, how open and friendly people can be.

There are a lot of things I am intrested in. I play classical guitar and I used to be a volleyball player. I like to be in the nature, just hiking or jogging. I am really interested in music, I also sing. What I really love are movies. Drama, romance, musicals...
