I already practice "couchsurfing" without internet connection when I was in France,Mauritius and French Guyana.
Allways been good experiences. Hope this kind of way of life last.
I'm an honest and fine person (I work for it)

Never through "internet".
Most of the time, it's when I travel in places which are not writed in any "guide-book" and it's difficult to find a save place where to spent the nignt or even few days.
