ABOUT ME

Ben & Sam: We're a young, newly married couple currently residing in Virginia. We're about to make a big move to Portland, Oregon, where we hope to find ourselves, or something...We have a kitten named Lucy, who is sweet, friendly, and very playful, but still has dander, alas.

Sam: I'm a French and Chinese student who is taking a hiatus from because my university shut down the Chinese program. Hopefully west coast schools respect their language programs more than mine. I have a soft spot for all animals. I love my family above anything else, they are the most important and positive influence in my life. I enjoy all kinds of music, no exceptions to any genre. My favorite food is Thai food, but Indian is pretty special too. Someday, I hope to sing for a band, if only just once. The most wonderful place I have ever been was Dublin, Ireland; it was gorgeous, and the people were incredibly friendly.

Ben: I'm currently 20 years old, soon to become 21 in October. I really love life and those close to me who make it what it is for me. Music is my passion. I've been playing the guitar for years, although my musical tastes have been changing almost constantly since I first began. I like making new friends and living life to the fullest.

PHILOSOPHY

Our personal philosophy takes no specific or labled form. We live our lives as kind and giving people because we believe that's the only way anyone should live, no matter what lable you give yourself.

Interests

Sam: Music, animals, languages, different cultures and religions, symbolism, baking, art, photography, shopping (I'm a girly girl at heart), video editing, cool clouds, ice caves, the remote Laotian waterfall that I saw in a picture once, my dear sweet husband, The Mars Volta, ganj, live oaks, throat singing, coloring books, classic novels, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, pianos, and why they just can't seem to make a blue rose.

Ben: My wonderful wifey, Thai food, comedy, discovering new bands/genres, cool clouds, sasquatch, old guitars, new guitars, my kitten Lucy, psychedelics, good weather/rainy days, ridiculous things, laughing, trees, the moon, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, making/listening and learning about the production of music, old cartoons, headshops, that one Christmas movie with Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and the abominable snowman

Sam: I am a movie buff, I can't even begin to list all the movies that I love. Some of them are: Stolen Summer, Ever After, Donnie Darko, The Life of David Gale, Life is Beautiful, Fellini's 8 1/2, and The English Patient.
