ABOUT ME

Ralph - Real name is Raphael, but known by Ralph. Grew up on the Gold Coast but was born in the Philippines. Love the GoldCoast and wish everyone could appreciate what we are exposed to everyday. I worked for almost 3 years at the main public hospital as a health professional before venturing on travels to Europe/UK. returned to the Gold Coast over the last 2 years and working in a private practice. The same goes for Kara. We both love being outdoors and being adventurous and active. Hobbies include surfing, basketball, and touch football (or touch rugby). Always up for a road trip and camping in coastal towns. Love travelling to new places.

Kara - born in Hervey Bay but lived on the gold coast for the last 9 years. Also works as a Physiotherapist. Enjoys travelling, camping, surfing, reading, food, and anything active. Can definitely read a book or 5 to pass the time. Looking forward to enhance my snowboarding skills.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have minimal experience to couchsurfing and are looking forward to exploring it again on our next trip to Canada. We are very keen to meet friends through this website. We aim to reciprocate the hospitality when we eventually venture back to Australia.

Interests

Ralph - surfing (all water sports actually), basketball, touch footy, love watching pretty much all sports (partake in whatever sports i can), snowboarding (if im in an area that suits this hehe), camping, watching movies and tv series.

Kara - surfing, touch football, learning to snowboard and absolutely love it, camping, and reading.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ralph
movies - i love em all pretty much, except for the corny chick flicks, arthouse/cult movies, and have gone away from the horror ones even though i loved em as a kid.
Music - Linkin Park, Millencolin and Incubus are my favourite artists, but i also into the R+B and hip hop, can only stand techno/trance early in the morning in the clubs.
Books - Any matthew reilly books, but im currently getting into chris ryan (war/secret agent stories) im new to reading!! hehe

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ralph - Bungee jumped the NEvis Highwire in New Zealand last year (apparently the highest in the southern hemisphere)

Kara -
Surfing in Bali on a reef (very scary!!! but it was gentle enough for me.)
