Learning the happy secret to a happy life (see below)
I am a young professional, living in Amsterdam.
I have seen many bits of the world. Always one step at the time in discovering the lovely people and culture of a country. I am obsessed with traveling. It is not enough to see, but you also have to embrace the cultures, places, new experiences.
I believe: reading opens up eyes, nature is to protect, life is to live consciously but soul is to set free, traveling makes you understand, happiness is to share with others, all your actions have to root in empathy, hugs are to heal hearts, not only school lessons are to learn and dogs are adorable.
"If I work harder, I'll be more successful and if I'm more successful, then I'll be happier." This is just so wrong.
This statement is scientifically broken and backwards for two reasons. First, every time your brain has a success, you just change the goal post of what successful looks like. You got good grades and now you have to get better grades. You got a good job, now you have to get a better job. But if happiness is on the opposite side of success, your brain never gets there. We think you have to be successful then we'll be happier but the real problem is, our brain works in the opposite order.
If you can raise somebody's level of positivity in the present, then their brain experiences what we now call a happiness advantage which is your brain at positive, performs significantly better than it does in negative neutral stress. Your intelligence rises, your creativity rises, your energy levels rise.
If we can find a way to becoming POSITIVE IN THE PRESENT then our brains work even more successfully. And this will result in a happy life :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been hosting in my home country (Hungary), and right now I live in Amsterdam.
When I am hosting I really love to show the real face of my country. If you come to my village (in Hungary, when I am there) you are gonna drink delicious vine in the village vine cellars, walk on our beautiful mountains, have huge outdoor cooking parties and taste yum-yum Hungarian dishes.
If you visit me in Amsterdam, than I can give you the best tips: how to see enjoy the canals, where to party, what to eat, windmills, museums, original Dutch experience etc.
If you host me, I promise I will not only be a good guest but a great company and a close friend too :)
I have been hosted by the Niagara Falls, in Philadelphia, Washington, Puebla, Guanajuato, Veracruz, Paris, Madeira, Cancún, Cozumel island, San Francisco and Las Vegas.
I have hosted people from Spain, France, Lithuania, Hungary, Latvia, The Netherlands :)
Trying to manage my life in a green way. I love beautiful landscapes and the process of learning new things (could be sport, a language, new emotions etc). I like to understand the emotions of other people and discover purpose and motivations.
I like watching TED talks, because they are like an instant package of true and deep knowledge. I love COOKING, and will definitely surprise you with a nice Hungarian dish.
