ABOUT ME

Quite a story how we met, though fits perfectly with our adventurous spirits, Carpe Diem beliefs, down to earth way of being, and ultimately our trust in the power of intention and the universe's gifts. We have known each other for quite some time and have made the commitment to share our lives together, as of January 09.

After many "benchmark" dates, we are finally in Las Palmas, living the life. Our time is spent preparing to open our CrossFit Gym, on the beach, traveling, family, and just being big kids. We are both positive laid back people, who believe in honesty, integrity, morals/values, and living each day as if it were our last. We both enjoy a good night out till sunrise, filled with dancing and drinks. CrossFit is a huge part of our idea of a healthy life style. It is fun, diverse, and a good challenge. We enjoy sharing our story and introducing people to the CF world.

We look forward to meeting new people, sharing traveling experiences, learning new cultures, challenging our comfort zones, challenging your comfort zones, and plain and simple enjoying life!

PHILOSOPHY

we live each day as if it were your last. We take responsibility for our own actions, our word, our intentions, our thoughts, and in general our life. We love like as if it was the first time we have ever been in love. We don't compromise our self worth or happiness for each other or any body. We believe being emotionally engaged in life is a reward to life's blessings.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Alejandro has been a member of Couchsurfing for just under a year. You can find his profile at Alejandrox (Madrid, Spain). He has hosted several people in Madrid and enjoyed showing them why Madrid is so beautiful.

Nikol has been a member of Couchsurfing for a couple years. She has hosted several people in her house over the years(Greg and Nikol - Antigua,Guatemala). She has also counch surfed in a few different places.

We would like to participate by both hosting and being hosted. Not to mention spreading the word!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have both had great couchsurfing experiences. The people we have shared our time with have been friendly and balanced spirits. Each person one meets, there is something new learned. Also, the ice is already broken due to the confidence of this great program.

Interests

Anything that gets our hearts pumping! Snowboarding, wakeboarding, sky diving, rugged travel, camping, nutrition, exercise, meditation, surfing, kite boarding (though have not tried it yet), sailing, cooking, hanging out with friends/family....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nikol: Giving birth to my daughter is a miracle. No words define how a human body, through food and love, "builds" another human body - then delivers a live individual being different than I, though so similar to I. Absolutely beautiful. Meditating with specific intentions and receiving exactly what I asked for. On a less emotional level: Attending Burning Man. To be in a sustainable community where everything is a gift is amazing. You give, share, and take. Beautiful. Skydiving is a real rush. The silence when the parachute is open is amazing. Rome is proof of history, which undeniable. Thailand is beach bliss. Hong Kong is memorable and has impacted me personally somehow, just can't put my finger on it... but LOVE it.
