ABOUT ME

My name is sage, and I am a 21 year old chick. I live with my awesome boyfriend Orin and spend most of my time going on adventures with him and my trusty companions. Modes of transportation: bike, skate, walk, motorcycle... stuff that keeps you outdoors... though in the Vancouver rain public transportation can be a godsend.
I like to do art, go to shows, listen to music, play nintendo, hang out with friends, make delicious food,longboard, scour value village, try to play guitar, go swimming, talk to random people, read books and ride bitchin choppers.. though I've only ever ridden Hondas, which are awesome, some day soon I'm going to convince orin to let me ride his beloved triumph. He love this bike as much as (or more than) me, so has tramuatizing fear of us both going down in a blaze of glory.
Orin is an awesome dude who enjoys much of the same shit that I do, but he is very skilled at building motorcycles and just fixing random shit. He is a welder and saves my ass probably 4 to 5 times a week.

PHILOSOPHY

I maintain a very close and dynamic relationship with those that I love and trust, but am always looking to meet new people and have fun. I try to make life an adventure, by always making sure that I'm getting things done that i want to do, and try to get ideas into reality... which can be a slow and painful process sometimes. haha. Moving forward and improving is important to me because I hate the feeling of futility in my life, it can cast a really negative shadow over you. I also believe very strongly in remembering to forgive yourself and move on from your mistakes, a privilege many grant to others and not themselves.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just joined couch surfing but have heard really good things about it. Orin and I got back from South America in June and are looking for a way to help out other travellers, in return for utilizing it in our future for some travelling around Canada and the states we hope to do. Maybe a bike trip... hmm.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had a couple of germans crash on my floor recently, and we had a great time drinking beer, and got a tasty 3 dollar breakfast.

音乐、电影和书籍

I love rock, punk rock, blues, reggae, and oldies especially, but pretty much every genre has some awesome music to it. I have a hard time with most pop, country and jazz though. Dislike most songs on the radio, except for a few by bands I like.. and it's always the same song... which really just drives you to hate that song. Lame.
I like reading all sorts of books, from classics like the lord of the rings to newer stuff like amy tan... I really liked the joy luck club. I don't know too many authors by name, just enjoy reading books when I have the time.
I love movies, and love going to the theater, though I don't do it very often. I find it so hard to sit here and remember movies that i like.. it wouldn't be very comprehensive... but enjoy all genres for sure.

Umm, travelling is definately up there. We saw some really amazing things in South America. Machu Picchu was amazing, one of my favourite parts was climibing Huanupicchu. The view was spectacular. In Central America I climbed up a live volcano and got to stand right next to the lava, which was pretty amazing.

Umm, well Orin is pretty skilled in mechanical fix-it areas, but he has more than enough projects on his hands. He loves to talk shop all night though, so if you have any knowledge of motorbikes... preferably vintage you guys could swap stories i'm sure. I love to ride as well but don't really know squat on the technical side, though I am learning. I know how to longboard and we have an extra skate kicking around so if you want to practice your skill or learn we could go out on a ride. As for stuff you could teach us... plenty! I always love to learn something new.
