ABOUT ME

Hello friends! We're a couple that just got married and is embarking on a yearlong travel adventure around the world.

We love traveling, adventures, meeting new people, getting immersed in new cultures, discovering new music, etc... We used to live in DC with jobs we liked, friends and family we loved, an apartment we also loved in a great part of town but... life's too short to not make big moves. There's way too much to experience out there, so in August 2011 right before our wedding, we quit our jobs, moved out of our apartment and packed our bags for a year of travel. We kicked things off at Burning Man (amazing experience) and hit up state parks across the US. From there, we cruised around Hawaii, Australia, and New Zealand. We spent two amazing months in Bali and Lombok in Indonesia. We're now in Vietnam. We have absolutely no set plans, which is just the way we like it.

We can't wait to see where our adventures take us. We know that couchsurfing and the amazing people that make up this community will play a huge part in shaping our trip and experiences. Looking forward to chilling with all you beautiful people!

PHILOSOPHY

Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-lagunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We used to live in Washington DC and hosted people there on our futon in our office. Loved every experience. Now that we're on the road, super stoked to really explore the network that's out there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've hosted a couple of people in DC and surfed twice. Have had great experiences so far! I tell almost everyone I know about it. Some people dig it, others are sketched out. We think it's amazing. Can't wait to meet a whole crew of new people during our travels.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

went to burning man, jumped out of plane in queenstown, hiked the kalalau train in kauai, surfing with turtles in maui... various thingzzz :)
