ABOUT ME

I love to read. Fewer things make me happier than sitting in a cafe with a cup of coffee and a good book. Long conversations about the meaning of life - often when intoxicated - are a staple of my life. I love beer and wine and cozy pubs. I also love to walk - whether it's through a busy city or a deserted forest. I'm a political junkie, always up for a good argument :)

I have a tendancy to go into fits of laughter over stuff that no one else thinks is funny. I've been told that I have a keen sense of absurdity. I take that as a great compliment.

Music- I am obsessed with Bob Dylan. The man is a genius and seeing him live was one of the best experiences of my life. Joni Mitchell, The Band, Arcade Fire, The Kinks, Wintersleep, Tom waits are among my other all-time favorites.

Books- 100 Years of Solitude, On the Road, The Handmaid's Tale, In the Skin of a Lion, L'Etranger, Slaughterhouse Five, Dispatches, Catcher in the Rye... there are far too many favorites to list.

Movies- Pulp Fiction, American Beauty, Igby goes Down. I don't watch as many movies as I should. Watching more classic movies is something I'd like to do.
