One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was working in eastern Oregon on the Malhuer National Wildlife Refuge. I was helping a group of biologists with capturing and banding white faced ibis (migratory bird). I was walking in a marsh with tall bull rushes and caught a handfull of fledgeling ibis. I was holding all these gawking gangly birds waiting for the biologists to come and band them. They have long bills and were awkwardly trying to escape. It was amazing to be so close to these birds in the desert landscape with open sky and rim rock country.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can provide information on the surrounding area (Sierra National Forest or Yosemite National Park).
