About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To treat every day as a new adventure
ABOUT ME
Hi... I often describe myself as a gypsy in a former life - I am the type of person who'll move house if I'm bored. I love change and I enjoy a new challenge.
Other people describe me as friendly, welcoming and relaxed. I can be ambitious when it comes to all the things I want to acheive, and I don't mind putting in the hard work to get there.
I love meeting new people but am quite happy on my own as well, especially if I have a good book.
I like to make the most of every situation and make every day enjoyable. I'll try most things once.
PHILOSOPHY
Aim for the stars - you might not get them but you won't end up with a handful of mud either - can't remember who said this but I think it's great.
Treat everyone as you wish to be treated (nothing new here, but one that has stood the test of time).
Overall, you only get one chance to make the most of your life, you have to make everyday count, and treat the planet, and those that share it with you, with respect.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surf and host. Also happy to meet for coffee.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Limited, but have occasionally needed a friend's couch and am always amazed by their generosity, and have happily returned the favour. Have also housesat in the past and have met some wonderful people whom I would never have got the chance to otherwise.
Interests
I am intersted in anything to do with books and literature, interested in politics (but have much to learn) and love live music, good food and a nice red wine.
Have only diving once, but fully intend to get my certificate one day.
Have just taken up yoga but am not very good at it yet and likewise a friend is teaching me to play poker but I need serious practice!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching the sunrise from the top of Mt Sinai.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can make a mean risotto and happy to both cook one for anyone I surf with, or teach anyone how to do it.
On the other hand, I love to learn new stuff - bring it on, interested in learning about art, theatre, philosophy, music, history - the list goes on!
