ABOUT ME

About me? I'm fascinated with languages and cultures, and want to experience as many of them as possible. Thankfully my minimalist nature allows for me to live and travel happily as a bartender, with out the benefit of a heavily-padded savings account. Ultimately, I have faith that I'm always exactly where I need to be, and that everything is exactly as it should be... and thus all will be as it should- for this I tend to leave off planing and go with the old, 'let's play it by ear' method of travel, and doing, well, anything.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted, surfed, and partaken in group events. When I go somewhere, I want to learn what life is like there.... I think the best place to start is in the home of someone kind and open enough to let me into their world. This same philosophy is what brings me to open my doors to fellow travelers whenever possible.

Interests

Anything involving nature- especially bonfires and beaches- vamo' a la PLAYA! Reading, writing, languages, cuentos de todos tipos! For me, there's nothing quite like going with a friend to a public place, to drink a beer/coffe/mate and watch as people go about their lives, maybe making up stories for them- even better to actually chat with them and make a new friend.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could go on forever sharing my experiences and ideas- whether or not that is a good thing is arguable...
I can, however, teach English, Spanish or Latin, or depending on your mood: how to tend bar; I've worked as a bartender in five countries (so far)and for that have learned many fun and local cocktails from all over the world.
As for learning, I never stop. Every word I hear or action I witness teaches me something, as long as I keep myself open to the lessons. Cultures and languages fascinate me the most.
