ABOUT ME

Hello. I'm Stacey.

My friends say I'm wierd, and I take that as a compliment. I feel alive when I'm camping and hiking in beautiful places far away from people and need to dance, dance, dance.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm still figuring out how I fit into this world, but I am striving to live a life that is in tune with our world. Far from being an idealistic hippy, I feel best when I am outside feeling the ground between my toes and I am hoping to meet people on my travels who can show me how to create a realistic and sustainable lifestyle.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am so excited to meet like-minded people from all around the world, and learn about their homes from them. Likewise, I am excited to share my city and my country - every bit of it - with travellers who are prepared to be surprised.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love that I can arrive somewhere new and already have a friend waiting for me. I've couchsurfed all over the world and had the opportunity to experience real life, rather than passing through as an observer.

兴趣

Travel, of course. Packing my backpack and hitting the road is my habit. I also love experiencing the outdoors and get out to camp and hike as much as I can. I am a yoga teacher, and my practice is part of weaving a lifestyle that is in harmony with our world and my heart. Add dancing - especially under a sunny sky with my toes in the green grass -and I am on fire.

I'm a big fan of Salman Rushdie and Gabriel Garcia Marquez so love books that intertwine reality, imagainings and possibilities.

And with music, I'm a fan of old-school tunes, the kind of songs that you can sing along to. There's nothing that gets my hips waggling quite as much as a song from the Beach Boys.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

To choose only one... I've cycled 800km along the coast of South Africa; I've hitchhiked around Armenia; slept in a magic carpet shop, eaten honey-delicious figs straight off the tree in southern Turkey; slept on the beach and swum naked in the sea; ridden through monsoon rain on the back of a motorbike... and met members of my soul family across the world.

I am interested in creating a sustainable lifestyle off the grid and out of the money system. I am moving closer to my goal of growing my own food and creating a retreat space in the mountains. I love sharing what I have learnt about natural and vegan eating, natural beauty, meditation, yoga and living from the heart, and so enjoy gaining new lessons and perspectives.
