About Me

"I believe in nothing, everything is sacred. I believe in everything, nothing is sacred."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I LOVE couchsurfing. I recommend it to everyone and use it as often as possible! I've met so many wise and beautiful souls in this world through CS.

Ashtanga yoga, tea, gardening, languages, veg*nism/animal rights, ahimsa, Zen, insect life, beards, the moon, the ocean, forests, glasses, the written word, the local organic food movement, living off the grid, shamanism, seed sprouting, deconstructing social indoctrination, the evolution of human consciousness, relativity, avoiding doctrines and dogma, freeganism, and freedom.

I also have a band called Luna Moth. We play psychedelic soul dream pop. Listening to my music is probably a good way to get to know me before I sleep on your couch or floor :) .

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Psychedelic folk, Ravi Shankar, British invasion, Belle and Sebastian, James Brown, Congregación y Victor Jara (de Chile), Os Mutantes, Sonic Youth, Joanna Newsom, Blue Valley Farmer, Lungfish, Woody Guthrie, Otis Redding, Latin American trova, Fugazi, anything involving a kazoo, Blonde Redhead, Penny Hill, Ghost, Cornelius, Acid Mothers Temple, deerhoof, earthy indigenous droning, weird Japanese pop, 70's punk, Mexican boleros/rancheras/corridos/mariachi, Sun Ra, Bob Dylan, any music made in the spirit of sheer non-commercial self-expression, etc.

BOOKS... a few that have had a major influence on my life: The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, The Hero with 1,000 Faces, 2012:The Return of Quetzalcoatl, Tao Te Ching, The Plumed Serpent, Animal Liberation, For Whom the Bell Tolls, On the Road, the novels of Tolstoy and Dostoevsky, Walden, Black Elk Speaks, Balun Canan, Tom Robbins' novels, and oh so many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every single moment of life on this planet is a sheer, incalculable blessing. The most amazing thing I've seen changes with each passing moment.
