ABOUT ME

We live out in the middle of nowhere but it is one of the most beautiful middle-of-nowheres that one could visit. It's right near the blue ridge mountains and there are cows that roam free near us. We have 4 boys who are grown and occasionally call us at times. We have 4 cats, a kiln and a large garden.

We just joined under the advisement of our son Bobby. He said we might like it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've hosted countless of our kids' friends over the years. Now we are official CSers. We feel that CSing is kind of like continuing to host our kids' friends far into middle age.

Interests

Bob: Frugality, math, exercising, mandarin oranges and tuna fish

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bob: had apendicitis under water in a nuclear submarine

Mary: completed school while simultaneously raising 4 teenage boys.

Teach, Learn, Share

We have so much experience and are very good teachers. Just ask! For example, Mary can teach you how to give an injection or make your own house decorations. Bob can teach you how to calculate the exact angle that your roof needs to be at in order to provide you the most efficient winter-time natural heating or what to say to Jehovah's witnesses in order to make them never come to visit you again.
