ABOUT ME

Trying to settle down a little more than we have been used to (being on the move the last 6 years) and we are doing so in Columbus, OH.

We recently left New York City and before that finished traveling and volunteering around the world (25 countries) from November 2011 till March 2013.

Of course we love exploring and traveling but we are also into the outdoors, photography, cooking, the water, art, yoga, reading, music and are trying to learn ukulele (Veronica) and writing (Michael).

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind to people and to the earth. Try to learn everything you can. Always learn how to say please and thank you in the language of wherever you are traveling. Do good. Love.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We absolutely love meeting people from other places and walks of life. Once we live somewhere more long term (or at all for that matter) on our own we are going to host for sure!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met up with some local couch surfers in St. Louis, done a little bit in the US. We surfed a lot in South America and some in Europe and Asia as well. Hoping to start hosting once we have a permanent address!

We love to have new, rich and genuine experiences. We love to explore and meet new people. Something that we both really love and tend to miss while we travel are very deep and engaging conversations. Veronica loves music, yoga, cooking and films, Michael loves learning new things, museums, parks and hiking, we both really love art. Veronica loves singing and playing the ukulele. We love reading and trying new things, seeing interesting places, trying new foods, exploring life!!

Veronica loves to read philosophy and is currently quite interested in Indian philosophy. Michael enjoys American classics, but we both always enjoy something new- perhaps science fiction? Michael loves One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Veronica can't define it quite so easily, and music is constantly evolving...good old classic rock, indie, classical, folk, rap, some electronica...some favorites are Florence + the machine, mumford and sons, beatles, johnny cash, robyn, debussy, daft punk, jay z, avett brothers, etc.

We were both completely blown away by hiking the circuit at Torres del Paine. It was incredibly difficult, but so beautiful and definitely life-affirming and probably life-changing. We also lived on an island in Chile for two months working and living with a family . That experience taught us so much about ourselves and life and we're so thankful to have had that time there.

Veronica plays the ukulele and travels with one and also loves yoga and taught in South America. Michael makes something very delicious called an eggy cake and is crazy good at being frugal/budgeting for long-term travel (sounds not fun, but is quite handy!)
