ABOUT ME

I'm a youngin', still working my way in this ridiculously large world of ours. I tend to be pretty relaxed about most things, so even if I'm not the most outgoing person ever, I can certainly have a good time and be friendly. I've been to most of the Caribbean, a bunch of Europe, and Australia, but I've been really looking to go to new places that are off the beaten path when I get out of school. Climbing the seven summits is a personal goal of mine, but it may take a while, seeing as Antarctica is far away.

PHILOSOPHY

I live freely. I know that's cliche, but I try to not really worry too much. A good example: right after high school, I went to Italy with a friend of mine, got back, decided I didn't want to be in the city for the summer, booked a ticket for a week later to Australia, walked at graduation, and left the next day. Spontaneous traveling is one of my favorite things.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm interested in using CS to meet people I wouldn't otherwise meet, as well as to help save a bit of money so that I can travel to more crazy places and expand more of my horizons. I've been accused many a-time of being a narrow-minded New Yorker, and I'm out to change that image.

Interests

I enjoy traveling, scuba diving, and ice hockey, mostly, but also the usual things like music, reading, chilling, drinking.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music ranges from soft rock, like RHCP, Dave Matthews, and OAR, to metal, like As I Lay Dying and Trivium, to Jazz, like Miles Davis and John Contrane.
My favorite books are Orwell's '1984' and McMurtry's 'Lonesome Dove'.
Movies include, but are not limited to, The Matrix, Alien, The Shawshank Redemption, The Godfather I and II, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
TV Shows include The Wire, The Sopranos, House, and Burn Notice, when I get around to them.
Favorite beer right now is Leffe, followed closely by Dreher Bak, and then by 1516 Lager.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef. Actually, Australia as a whole might count for this one.
