ABOUT ME

Spent good part of my life traveling, I'm on my last working visa here in Canada. Living in BC saving up some mula to start the next phase of the great Canadian adventure. I love adventures and try to do something different each week, or to go somewhere different. My next trip is to Vancouver Island.

PHILOSOPHY

I strive each day to enjoy life and not to become mundane in its existence. To realize and make the most of the beauty that surrounds us each day. I also love to meet and befriend as many cultures as possible. People, places and their way of life interest me greatly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately I haven't participated at all. I found out through other travelers here about couch surfing. However I have on many occasions taken other travelers in, in Australia whilst traveling and in London where I stayed for 2 years. So I have done my bit in helping others but just not with this website.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had many couch experiences, just had one the other night. I'm a big fan of the coach seeing as I've spent at least quarter of my life on a coach or if I'm lucky on someone else's bed. Some are great sleeps some aren't but its not the sleep its the people you meet along the way, and the opportunities that are created.

Interests

Hiking, swimming, love the outdoors, movies, big reader, writing poetry, dancing, camping, music, love motor bikes and bare/dead trees (they have lots of character :)).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent Australia/Anzac day in Gallipoli Turkey. It was a mission to get there as I missed the bus with the tour group and experienced the most craziest taxi ride of my life. But i seen the trenches the Aussies, Kiwis and Turkish people had to live in, and had the opportunity to see Lone Pine and Chunik Bear where both the Aussies and New Zelanders mainly fought. It was a gruesome and pointless war for the people however by seeing this and being there we had a moment to understand that all 3 countries united as one and tried to help each other even though they were essentially there to kill each other.

Teach, Learn, Share

I once stayed with some people one group was from Africa and the other from Morocco. I learnt alot about their individual cultures, foods, desires in life. I also played the bongos and had my hair braided with shells. One experience can last a life time! I went to France with my friend and once there we met a couple of guys neither of us could speak the others language, however we spent a whole day and the night traveling Paris together, it was amazing there is alot to learn from body language and being able to trust people.
