ABOUT ME

Grew up with parents in the US Navy so I moved around a lot as a kid. Besides the love of travel this experience instilled in me, it taught me to be open to others and to make friends fast!

Now I'm taking a break from graduate studies in literature (my area of concentration is 18-20c poetry) to teach English to French kids in an ecole primaire for a year. I'm excited to use my vacation time to travel in France and Europe!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No official CS experiences yet but I have been lucky enough to have met many wonderful people during my travels with whom I've shared meals, fun times, and who I've stayed with and hosted.

People, ideas, books, poetry, cooking with/for friends & family, painting, hiking, biking, singing, philosophy/philosophizing, tennis, skiing, boats--oh yeah, and travel!

Also, learning French ("Advanced" would be a better term than "Expert"--I'm definitely still learning!)
