Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CouchSurfing helped me through my year abroad, and it's refreshing to know there are still kind, generous souls in the world. I don't have a couch for people to surf on yet, but if you're in the area and want to have a host to show you around, let me know!

Interests

Movies, music, BOOKS, new cuisine, nights of laughter, a great bottle of wine, honest moments, beautiful sunsets, dogs and horses, the rumble of an American muscle car, peaceful picnics by the water, and sunshowers :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing to the top of the mountain ridge where I lived in Australia, and laying down in the grass with the horses at sunset. Most beautiful moment. Also, I was able to work with the Make-A-Wish foundation in granting a dying wish for a nine year old girl in Belgium ... she wanted a saxophone... we granted her wish, and that moment will NEVER leave me.

Lame advice: When taking photos, ZOOM IN... no one wants to see a picture of a beach with you standing 1/2 mile away...a photo is about capturing the emotion...show us the smiles, not the miles of beach!!! Real advice: It's not where you look, but how you look ... there's beauty in every moment....just open your eyes......
