ABOUT ME

Hi, couch surfing community!

I'm Rafa from Mexico, I'm a student of internationalist politics and economy who likes know new people from all over the world, lerning from different people from different countries and cultures, for me share knowledge is a must but also get knowledge from others is very important and part of the experience named life. I'm the kind of person who like enjoy life, and also try always to see the positive side.. I mean trying because sometimes is not easy but believe me there always a reason for everything.
I really enjoy party and at the weekend get some dance and hang out with friends, but sometimes I also enjoy chilling and relaxing and enjoying a good talk with nice people, communication is also one of my favorite tools to meet people better.

I have lived in Puebla, Mexico for more than 8 years but since almost 2 years move to Berlin because of the studies. However, I'm the member and founder of an international community named Tortugal. It is a House Project, focus on intercultural adaptation hosting people from all over the world how is making an exchange or traveling for a long time, I mean if you are traveling in México and do you want to come for a couple of days in Puebla, you could stay in one of our Sofas, sometimes we have a free mattress so maybe you can also have it.

Tortugal was founded by 5 friends from Spain and me, in those times they were doing their exchange year in Puebla. at the beginning, we didn't have any furniture but with the time we create our own decoration and also we get some stuff from friends, donations and cooperation from the members.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well I'm on couch surfing because I can help you to....

- show you the city (currently just in Berlin ^^', but you are also welcome here)
-Give you tips for you trip in México or Germany since I'm living here for a while.
-I know People in many states in the country who can help you to know something about a place and also from many other countries in the world which are part of our community.
-You can Also stay here at our house!
-I can show you the best places to eat in the city, remember Mexican gastronomy is amazing

-We have a sky of flags at home so new flags or something representative from your country will be very welcome. We like creative decoration

Interests

I like to do couch surfing because is a really good idea to have an intercultural experience meeting local people from the city that is visiting. I prefer to meet locals or people who know the city very well and can show more than just the touristic places, I think is very interesting to meet new places from the view of people who is living at the places.

Music, Movies, and Books

So well Im not so good with the names of the films or the music singers I'm more like the kind of guy who doesn't care who sing is just enjoy the music but obviously I have my favorite groups and singers, I like Techno music and electro alternative rock experimental but I can also dance almost everything I'm very tolerant. xP

I like films with weird content .. I like also the comedies and the horror films .. but i enjoy the art films I think that the best ones are there in which you is impossible to understand the story but at the end everything have a reason haha kind of movies that makes you think about reality or situations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mexican food is the best food in the world,... I swear.

Teach, Learn, Share

Knowledge is the key of everything, I mean is important to have it but also very important to share it and learn it, I'm very interesting on educational topics focus on development and social development.

Love to learn from people and also to help the people with things that maybe can be useful .. we can practice language or maybe create something together using our skills.

What I Can Share with Hosts

This is big house with a garden and terrace also we have a big garage that part of it is our Landry place there are 7 rooms, which normally are occupied by people from other countries in other that we function as a big family and doing Tortugal a home for foreign people which is just arriving in the city to stay for a while as exchange students or also travelers.
Nowadays, our community has almost 50 members from many countries as Spain , Germany, France, Argentina, Korea, Brasil and for sure Mexico. The main idea of tortugal is to be a place in which people interested and from different cultures share and get knowledge with the same way about respect and been all on the same level of equality to all the members.

At the house is always someone to talk or do something together, We have also 2 cats they are also the Kings and queens from tortugal xP, but they are really nice and also kind of quiet cats the most of the time all the rooms are rented by people who lives there house but we have also a couple of couches to host people and also a mattress that is special for guests .. Unfortunately I'm not now there but Tortugal still there and people is always welcome and I can also help you with someone information from Puebla and Cholula, I have lived in the city 8 years between my exchange year to Germany the first time there.
