ABOUT ME

I'm a musician spending time in the States for a couple of months.. been living in New York, where I met up with my bandmate Maxim.. you can hear us at myspace.com/fauxbritannia ..

I'm self-employed as we're starting our our own business upon our return to England; a social networking centre for graduates and young people to find creative solutions to under and unemployment.

PHILOSOPHY

Erm, well I studied Literature and Philosophy at Manchester University, so that's a difficult question. I read a lot, and I've read a lot of existentialism and phenomenology, so that's a big influence.
Music is a huge part of my life, and there's nothing I enjoy more than writing music and then playing it live.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, my friend Maxim and I have are travelling around the North East after living in Brooklyn for a couple of months.. so we're relying on the kindness of strangers to put us up for a day or two. When we get back to London though we will definitely be hosting in the future

Very new to this, but the one person we've stayed with so far has been great, more than hospitable, great place..

Obviously I'm massively into music, whether it's playing ( I play guitar and sing), listening to, or live.. really enjoy going to DIY shows and playing them wherever possible. Like doing all the cultural stuff, visiting gallerys, film, art.. also write in my spare time, mostly fiction prose/poetry, with ambition's to do that vocationally

This changes all the time, but some things I've enjoyed recently are the movie Man On Wire, which I think's incredible, the book Moby Dick, the music of Bob Dylan, which I've become somewhat obsessed with recently..

Broadly speaking, I like a lot of folk and blues music, a lot of post-punk and new wave bands.. I read a lot of Classics, mostly in European literature
