About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live all of our plans.

ABOUT ME

Im 18, finished high school and doing History at uni next year. Taking some time off the conveyer belt to learn a bit more about the world and myself.

PHILOSOPHY

Lets do it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I still live with my parents so its impossible for me to take anyone in (but trust me, we live in such a dull place you're not missing anything at all!). But I love the Couch Surf mentality and ethos.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Its not necesarily related, but my boyfriend was the one who introduced me to couch-surfing (and the one who has surfers in his flat all the time). We decided to throw care to the wind and Im living with him in Geneva for a short while. Since I dont know the language or the place or anyone at all the plan is to rely a bit on events and couch-surfers to get me out of the house in the scary new city!

Interests

I don't really have hobbies, ask me to try something and I probably will!

I like art - particularly street-art - and doodling. Its pretty rare to catch me without a book, at the momment I am devouring The Mole People, though my favourite read is probably Lolita (Nabokov), Chomsky and Dickens.

I also enjoy geek and alternative culture, cooking (or rather, making a mess on the kitchen) music festivals, concerts, parties or anything music related in general.

I tend to follow current affairs but if all else fails Im easy going and willing to try whatever people throw my way.

Music, Movies, and Books

As said above I love anything music related and reading.

I have a completely ecletic taste, I like classical, dub, electronic, indie, rock, yeye. From Tchaikovsky to Mastodoon, Aphex Twins to The Holloways.

In terms of films, again, Im willing to watch anything that sounds interesting. I like Russ Meyer, Kubrick, Tarantino and Miyazaki a lot. Eastern European and South American films too. Hate to admit it but Studio Ghibli probably makes my favourite films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ive seen and lived so much that I cant define the most amazing thing I have done. All of these experiences pieced together is what makes me myself. Rather than choose my favourite moment, Id rather keep looking for more and more amazing experiences.
