Always a great introduction to a place and it's people. The generosity, kind heartedness and good friends I have encountered are without parallel.

Interessen

I am an avid reader, I love galleries and museums, all kinds of films and Sam Cooke's voice. If I could walk from one country to another I would but if time is an issue I will take a train or a bus. People are some of the greatest adventures I've had and they last longer than most trips.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

My memory can be pretty terrible when asked to recall things on the spot so I'll just recount the most recent awe-striking moment.

For new year I went out west to Lethbridge, Alberta to visit a friend. We made a short trip out into the Rockies to visit the little tourist town her mother had grown up in. The first morning we were there, I woke up before everyone else with the moon dropping behind the mountains like a silver dollar, plump and crisp against a violet sky. I got out of bed, threw on my snow pants and boots and took a walk. The snow was deep and the whole place was huddled under the white, winter blanket, head down, waiting for spring. I stopped by the lake and spiralling down from a cloudless sky, just as the blood orange sunrise was kissing the east facing peaks, a bald eagle appeared, swooping over the serene water fishing in the silence of this secret morning.
