ABOUT ME

I like the idea of couch surfing as I love making connections with new people. I don't enjoy being a tourist and just looking at the surface of new places. I like to be able to understand what is going on around me and listening to people's stories. That is why I enjoy working with people. We have just moved to a new house and have room for guests. We enjoy visitors and like having the home full of people.

PHILOSOPHY

Family and friends are very important to be......but so are people in the wider world. I hate cruelty and want to build more community in the world so that people can share the things that really matter like laughter, dancing, friendship and good wholesome food. In my work I aim to help people to speak up for themselves and become more self confident.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We enjoy hosting as well as surfing...wish I had more time to travel. But it has been wonderful hosting visitors from all over the world. We have also enjoyed some social events and met other local surfers which has been fun.

Reading an interesting book at the moment called "A year in Tibet" by a Chinese woman called Sun Shuyun. Lives of Others was a recent favourite film. Like a wide range of films, books and music from many cultures around the world. Enjoyed dancing last Saturday with an African Band.
