We (Edna & Bill) love travel. I love the food she loves the sights and we both like meeting new people.

ABOUT ME

I (Bill) have worked in the mechanical trades for 40 years.
Edna (my better half) Taught Pre-school for 35 years.
We love to travel, garden, do puzzles, go camping, hike, help out our children, play with our grandchildren, cook, restore antique cars and do crafts. I play around with mechanical things in the shop.

We moved from NJ to DE in 2015 to find lower property taxes in our retirement. We are learning more and more about our new area and would love to show folks around.

My wife Edna loves traveling and meeting new people. She loves board games and puzzles.
We love to cook together now that we are both retired.

PHILOSOPHY

I just keep putting one foot after the other. As long as can I will travel. To fix things for people is fun also.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are open to all cultures. Have enjoyed having exchange students in the past. That was our first experience opening our home to strangers.

We learn from others and they may learn somthing from us. It's all part of passing thru this life.

Couch Surfing is more than a free bed and a shower. It's an interaction with those who are knowledgeable about the area you are visiting. It's an exchange of cultures and personal experiences. It's a chance to meet others who like to travel as much as you do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had many guests sleep over at our home, even before we joined CouchSurfing. Our first experience of this type was to host an exchange student for one year. We still visit her and her family every two to three years in Denmark. As our children grew up, we were the "hang out" place. So offering our home thru CouchSurfing kind of comes natural for us.

We have been to Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Rep of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Switzerland, Mexico, Canada, Bermuda and the Bahamas. We have travelled throughout the US also.

Interessen

We belong to Volkswagen camping groups and spend several weekends in the summer camping in our vintage VW. We have recently joined a couple car clubs in Delaware; Corvette, Model A Ford, and VW. We love to travel, especially through Europe. We love to attend music festivals and Bill has been working with the electrical crew on one in NY as well as one in MD.

I can talk for hours on VW's. I am a decent auto mechanic and can fix most anything.

We love to share meals and travel experiences. And if your up for an hour car drive, we will take you to the place that has the best lump crab cake on earth! We have 2 spare rooms in our lakefront rancher and an small RV if your would rather campout in the yard.
