HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted for a couple years while living in Hokkaido, Japan, and now am living in Eagle, CO looking to get involved again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I found it wonderful to be able to share my beautiful town in eastern Hokkaido with the great people I've met through couch surfing. Yep. It's been good.

Love listening to music, reading, and watching movies and discussing these things. When the weather's nice, being outside can't be beat. I enjoy a good ballgame.

February in Hokkaido is extremely cold. The lake (Kussharo) near our house is frozen over, except near areas of hot spring activity. Each of the past three winters, friends and I have jumped into the frozen lake, swam under the ice, and broke through it from underneath followed by a frantic, squeal and scream filled race back to the comfort of the hot spring only to be greeted with 20 seconds of an extreme tingling pain while our bodies regained feeling. Very refreshing stuff. Then we drank beer. Ben's head was bloody.
