About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have no regrets. Get to New Zealand where I will WORK, TRAVEL, PLAY (The verdict is still out on the exact order). The whole country looks breath-taking. There is just something about travelling literally half way across the world

ABOUT ME

I am a 22 year old male looking to get into the realm of travelling with my first stop being New Zealand at the end of August 2010. I am currently enrolled at Syracuse University pursuing a degree in Business. I love to swim and eat. I'm 6'6 and door ways/ low ceilings can get annoying at times. My parents are divorced. I have an older brother and a younger sister. Nearly all of my life has been spent in the Northeastern Region of the USA and I'm looking to branch out in a big way.

PHILOSOPHY

Be as original as you can be. Be your own trend setting and take the time to find out exactly what is you really like and dislike. Being young and naive, take full advantage of not knowing everything and explore wherever and whatever you can. ELAN VITAL!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am looking to get into contact with various CS members living in New Zealand as well as those planning to visit there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My sister-in-law told me about the site and she lives out in Dayton, Ohio where my brother and her have hosted several travellers throughout the past year. The idea behind it all sounds awesome and looks to be a great means of really helping out travellers

Interests

Reading, friends, movies, working, sleeping, SWIMMING, weight lifting, and existential arguments on Friday and Saturday nights.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC, or the stuff that keeps me alive: Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Bob Dylan, The Smiths, Jeff Buckley, Jane's Addiction, Jimi Hendrix, Kings of Leon, Aerosmith, Metallica, The Shins, Pearl Jam, The Beatles etc.

MOVIES: All Stanley Kubrick, Blade Runner, Children of Men, All Wes Anderson, Alien, The Naked Gun, Braveheart, City of God, The Matrix, and anything else with an original plot and story. I've found that you have to dig for those sometimes

BOOKS: Philip K. Dick novels, Charles Bukowski, Nietzche, Animal Farm, Cat's Cradle, I, Robot, Shakespeare (In general, I should be reading more)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I registered with Work New Zealand from BUNAC. In all honesty, the most amazing thing I have done in my life has yet to occur. While I am there, bungee jumping and skidiving will be taking place have no worry.
