Finish last few months of medical school

ABOUT ME

As a kid I dreamed of being a rock star. Those aspirations were crushed when I got kicked out of choir because I couldn't sing. (Little did I know I could have lip-synced my way to the top). So my mom told me I'd better stay in school or I'd risk being a lifer at Walmart. So, instead I decided to go into ridiculous debt and shoot for higher education.

Along the way I've picked up motorcycling, scuba diving, sky diving, a love for travelling and the bad habit of drinking coffee.

Lesson from the wise: purchasing an espresso machine doesn't save you any money, it just means you drink more coffee. But the lattes sure taste good!

I'm now finishing up my last year of medical school. Only a few months left! Paying back interest payments on massive loans, here I come.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard about this site on my last trip to Maui from one of the hitch hikers I picked up, so I thought I'd check it out. She said she has always had a great experience couch surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met up with a couple of people in London, Ontario and got to stay with an amazing family. I just have to stay away from the cats, horrible for the allergies. haha. Since then I've stayed in Newfoundland and the Bahamas, all amazing times!

Music, Movies, and Books

I've always wanted to read, Life of Pi but I just can never get through it. I'll start it, get 100 pages in, get distracted and never finish. I think I'm on the forth attempt now.

Naomi Klein's, No Logo is another good one worth reading.

I've got an eclectic music taste, from Ani Difranco and Rufus Wainwright to Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong. There's some trance, house and techo thrown in the mix while I'm on the motorcycle.
