ABOUT ME

My sister and I are living together near Paris. We are easy going people, very friendly and open minded, willing to discover other people and other places of our world! We can cook you a very good French dinner but most importantly we really enjoy getting to know people around a good bottle of wine! So come, let's have a drink to discover who we are !

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So long, it's been LEGENDARY ! It's not about the money saved but it deeply changes the way to travel in a foreign place. It's a real discovery and a rich human experience every time, far from the superficial tourist tour and heartless hotels. We host, we attend to people, we share, and we just enjoy it !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We got extremely lucky to be hosted many times in the USA when we were crossing the American territory from Est (Vermont) to West (San Fransisco) by great couchsurfers !!! Last year I was hosted in Kiev while I was doing a research paper in Tchernobyl and Prypiat (don't worry I'm not radioactive, well so they told me...)
We did host quite a few people who were willing to see Paris and you should check out the reviews if you want to know what kind of odious, despicable and obnoxious hosts we are...

Interests

Interested in Art mostly(drama, cinema, photo, literature, art exhibition, music...), in History, in good food and merry wine, in communicating with people, in traveling and visiting new places, in having parties with friends, in hiking, in outdoor activities or everything at once : cooking on a outdoor fire while drinking and talking with friends ! In general, trying to have a good life...

Music, Movies, and Books

movies: the Monty python, Citizen Kane, Tim burton's movies, Michel Gondry's (especially "the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind), Furyo, Kubrick's, Tarantino's, Wong Kar Wai's, Hou Hsiou Hsien's, Lars von Trier's movies, every Pixard and most of the dreamworks long animated ... and so many other because we jut love cinema.
Music: Old stuff like Pink Floyd, Rolling Stone, Janis Joplin, Iggy Pop, David Bowie... New stuff like Arcade Fire, The National, Beirut, Noir Désir, The Strokes,Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, PJ Harvey, The Chemical Brother, Massive Attack, Franz Ferdinand, The White Stripes... We also enjoy jazz music, classical, basically nearly everything.
Books: Hermann Hesse, Boris Vian, Neil Gaiman, Lemony Snicket, Sartre, Ionesco, J.L Barrie, Stephan Sweig, Victor Hugo,Jonathan Safran Foer, Georges Orwell for exemple. We are also huge fan of cartoons like Bilal or Larcenet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being alone in Prypiat, the ghost town of Tchernobyl, surrounded by huge concrete buildings and empty streets.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can always help people to learn French, to cook, to do some video editing, to knit.

It's always great to learn new thing and I'm always up to it but I would truly appreciate if anyone could teach me how to fly....
