ABOUT ME

Like everyone else here, I just love travelling to new and different places. I like languages though as yet I'm not great at them. I'm studying Arabic at the moment. I'd like to pursue a career with an international dimension with a focus on the control of small arms, but for now, I'm happy just to see the world on my own terms.

PHILOSOPHY

There's plenty of things that are beyond our control, but not as many as people think. Don't sweat the stuff you can't change, but fight like hell if there is a chance.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a beginner, for now I'm just surfing and hoping to meet new people. Once I have a place of my own, I think it would be great to host other surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Before now my couch surfing was just informal drop ins on the couches of friends of friends. Anywhere you can get a few hours sleep or a few hours good conversation (either is good!) is fine by me.

Centres d'intérêt

A good book, a good movie (trashy or deep). I love my Tae Kwon Do and my beer. When I travel, it's scenery and architecture that really impresses me, but when it's all over it's the people I meet that really make the trip worthwhile.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I change between sci-fi or fantasy novels and historical or political non-fiction. I can easily watch a great action movie without worrying about it's crappy plot, or I can enjoy political thriller. Documentaries are always good too. Music? A good rhythm and beat is all I need be it in rock, electronic or hip hop.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I've recently moved across the Indian Ocean to study Arabic from scratch in the beautiful country of Yemen. I think that's kinda cool ;)

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I've studied Tae Kwon Do for over 8 years. Always happy to teach (and learn) some new moves! Preferably without the machismo that's attached to so many fighting arts. Also, I worked as a cinema projectionist for a few years, I can tell you all about how the film gets to the screen!
