CURRENT MISSION
keep moving, keep refreshing, keep exploring
ABOUT ME
Simple is me. I live in a complicated city - Hong Kong, but I try to think and live as simple as I can. I am trying to pursue simple living.
Hope to meet more like-minded people here.
PHILOSOPHY
Simple is beautiful. I believe the more I have, the more I couldn't give up, the more I couldn't give up, the less I could explore.
Interests
I like doing outdoor activities to make myself close to the nature.
I joined a cycling service trip in Cambodia in 2012. It was a 4-day cycling trip from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. At the end of the trip, I donated my bike to a NGO which would give my bike to the kid in need. The bike means a lot to a kid as it would provide an educational opportunity to the kid. After the trip in 2012, I came back to Cambodia in 2013 & 2014 to donate more bikes. My greatest happiness is that I tried to make an appeal to my friends and colleagues in HK to donate money to buy bikes in Cambodia for the kids in my 2014 trip. 13 bikes donation was collected before I went to Cambodia.
After coming back from Cambodia in 2012, I started to do sailing. It's so calm and quiet to be at sea. You won't want to look at the phone when you are in the magical moment in sea (amazing sunrise & sunset). Sailing is different from boating as it requires skills to control the sail. Wind takes us the way. My greatest experience was to sail from HK to Macau. I was not a very skilful sailor when I took part in that trip, but the experience was unforgettable. Dolphins swam beside our sailboat and countless stars shined on the sky. Would love to try more sailings in different place in the world.
Recently I do a lot of hiking (Hong Kong's landscape is very beautiful). I wish to go hiking in different countries as I believe each place would have its unique beauty. I was up to Mt. Kinabalu in 2011 where the experience is amazing. I wish to take more challenges and explore more.
I love to live in a natural way. I make natural products for myself and friends. I have done a little project which have made 300+ handmade natural soap as a little gift for my friend's wedding. I recently made the natural toothpaste. Hope to make more and more natural products in the future.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have joined a cycling service trip in Cambodia. I spent 4 days cycling from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. Each day, I rode from early morning to dusk. Along the road, there are many lovely kids who run and said 'hello' to our team. I heard nearly more than 100 'hellos' from the kids each day. They are so pure and lovely.
It was a service trip because I bought the bike in Phnom Penh and donated the bike to a NGO in Siem Reap. The bike will be then given to a kid who needs it as a transport to school. A bike is nothing to me, but it means so much to a poor kid in Cambodia. Without a bike, they may not have a chance to receive education.
When I returned to Phnom Penh to take a flight back to Hong Kong by a van, I felt so much by seeing many kids riding a bicycle to go to school along the road. 'Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.' - Mother Teresa.
The trip changed me a lot. I feel that I own too much in Hong Kong. I am trying to adjust my lifestyle - keep less and contribute more.
