ABOUT ME

I have a passion for being amongst nature and the outdoors. Beautiful landscapes fascinate me and I really feel connected to mother earth especially when spending time in the environment alone. Music is the soundtrack to my life and although I currently do not play any instruments well I go out and see many live gigs almost weekly, and immerse myself in many diverse music festivals each year. Although I currently live and work in the city of Brisbane I have a large forested property down in NNSW which a friend and I are setting up as a self sustainable escape for ourselves and our closest friends.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live a life of experience, to try most things at least once and to learn from through those around me. I try to be open, honest and very generous and therefore I hope to attract similar minded people into my life. I am not driven to earn a lot a money, just enough to be free and happy and allow me to travel and spend our given time with others.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I have only 4 weeks left on the current lease of my house as I will be backpacking/couchsurfing for 2 months through Northern India and Nepal. I will be welcoming couchsurfers into my sharehouse upon my return to Australia. Whilst in Europe I couchsurfed via another similar website but I think I now prefer this site. My current housemate has had couchsurfers stay with us and kinda has converted me to this site.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have used a similar site and couchsurfed in some countries whilst on my 10 month adventure through Europe. I have stayed with hosts in Sweden, Poland, Czech Republic and Italy.
Recently we have had a a guy from France stay with us and also a Canadian girl. It was great to be able to show them both the sights of Brisbane and how Australians spend their leisure time. I was able to take the French guy on a 5 day tour in my van through some of my favourite places in NNSW which only locals know about.

World music, Blues & Roots, Reggae, Dub, Acoustic Instruments, Independent Australian Bands, Live Electronica especially Psy Trance, Progressive Trance, Minimal and Ambient. My musical taste is extremely eclectic. I have volunteered for a community radio station before doing a show once a week with close friends of mine.
