To relish the feeling of discontinuity that comes with being in a new place.
I recently moved to Eugene after living in St. Petersburg and Berlin. I'm learning German and biking around. I just applied to grad school for intellectual history, but if that doesn't work out I might move to a Greek island to harvest olives and figs.
To create positive change in the world while living thoughtfully and joyfully.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Traveling, hosting, meeting people, making new friends. I'm excited about exploring couchsurfing as a community-oriented and non-consumerist way of travel.
Mostly informally hosting -- my last house had a bed in the living room and five couches for just this purpose.
Learning to cook new food, traveling, thinking about traveling, building community, trying to learn other languages, tea, talking to people, walking, beer, politics, ballet, alternative ways of living, history, forests, french poetry, awe.
