ABOUT ME

I am an easygoing person and I enjoy the little things in life. I am moving and traveling a lot and I want to keep doing that all my life. I have lived in Belgium (where I was born), in Minsk/Belarus, Zagreb/Croatia and currently I live in Berlin/Germany. I have been to many European countries but also Peru, Russia, India, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.

Another thing I will be doing all my life is learning languages. Every language I learnt changed my life in some way. They especially changed my view on the world and on people. Through languages I discovered new countries and cultures and met so many great people. Maybe the most important thing I have learnt is that people are just people. Cultural differences exist and are totally interesting, but in fact, everyone is just the same.

Right now I am living in Berlin and working with refugees, both as a job as well as voluntarily.

I like to dance swing and go to cultural events such as theater, concerts and intercultural events. And I also love food very much, but I don't like cooking. :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since I am living in a very small 1 room appartment in Berlin with my boyfriend, I cannot accept couchsurfers at the moment, but I often make an exception for friends (also people who hosted me in the past) and family who are comfortable with sharing a room with us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done couchsurfing a few times already and it was always a great experience. Since I have a lot of friends from abroad, I often stay with them when I travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not an avid reader. I have read some Russian literature because I had to, and I actually liked it, but somehow I can't find the motivation to start with some new books. I can really enjoy watching movies. I like all kinds of movies, my favorite is Zwartboek, a Dutch-German movie. I also like all kinds of music. I love dancing and going to concerts and festivals. I just don't like metal. :-)
