About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn something new and laugh a little everyday.
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in the Mid-Atlantic but landed in Madison, Wisconsin for graduate school and never left. I've traveled almost every corner of the United States, but not nearly enough outside our borders. I'm hoping to change that in time.
I have many wonderful friends and my favorite thing to do is spend time in thoughtful conversation with people I enjoy. Wine and food always enhances the experience.
I spend my free time in the summers growing food, paddling, camping, bicycling (mostly for transportation), cooking, and exploring. Winters are for cross-country skiing, books, and creative endeavors. I'm an on-again, off-again singer songwriter too. I mostly play guitar though I'm working on learning a little piano this winter.
PHILOSOPHY
Be nice, try hard, have fun, and remember that we all make mistakes (many).

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to name. I have great respect and appreciation for all styles of music and am most relaxed with a good book in my hand. I read mostly fiction. Steinbeck for his ideas, Austen for her command of dialogue, Stegner and Marquez for beautiful language. I love libraries and choose most of my books by just browsing the stacks.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wrote a collection of songs based on stories people told about their reasons for working to protect rivers and lakes in their communities.
