ABOUT ME

Thoroughly enjoy meeting adventurous people.
I was brought up in the country but am really a city gal, living on the beachfront in Wellington City's most Southern suburb. On sunny mornings I wake to see snow glistening on the South Island mountains across the sea. I'm a NZ born European, not religious, dont smoke, enjoy an occassional drink, late to bed and late to rise, dont have pets, live well, enjoy life & count my blessings...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Provide a bed so visitors can enjoy our unique city, exquisite bays, gardens, hillside buildings, cafes, shows, local theatre, musicians, galleries, walkways and people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Cairns was booked out. I met a typical Australian bloke: good looking, 36yrs old, behind the counter at an information centre. He offered me a place in his flat for a few weeks, and then booked me into a bush hut on a fruit farm in Cape Tribulation, north of Cairns where I slept all alone in the bush under a canvas roof, mosquito netting walls and slatted floor ... thanks to Mark's wicked Aussie humour, I had an adventure I would never have booked myself & thoroughly enjoyed it!

Couldnt imagine life without books, have given me such pleasure.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Ive travelled to Australia ( & keep returning, so much to see there), Thailand & Fiji and met the most extraordinary people; and discovered things tourists dont usually see. Dream of 3 months in Paris. Plan 3 months in Italy with my fluent italian speaking girlfriend in a few years.
