ABOUT ME

I recently returned to Seattle from 7 months away and I am just getting settled back into life here. I have not yet started working full-time again, so I have a flexible schedule. I would love to meet up with travelers for a drink or to do something fun in/around Seattle.

PHILOSOPHY

I recently visited Casapueblo, the crazy structure built by artist Carlos Paez Vilaro. He said something that resonated with me - something like, "The purpose of life is to figure out how to live it." Great wisdom from a man who continues to live an amazing life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I recently spent 5 months in South America. Though I didn't surf many couches, I regularly attended CS meetings in Cusco and used the CS site to meet people in many of the places to which I traveled. I now have some amazing friends - of all ages - from around the world and a growing list of places to visit. It took me a while to figure out the art of solo travel, but I had an amazing experience and now I am hooked. CS was a big part of that experience and I am figuring out how to stay involved now that I am back home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think CS is a great way to get to know people - locals and travelers - from all over the world. I've never surfed, but I have hosted a few people. Mostly, I have used the site to meet people for conversation, travel advice, and company exploring various places to which I've traveled.

I am fascinated by people and their stories. I'm not an adrenaline junkie, but I love exploring beautiful spaces and engaging in outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking. I also enjoy live music, restaurants, movies. . .anything that makes me think and feel deeply.
