I come up with really crazy, mind-blowing ideas and inventions all the time that make people laugh out loud and say "Wow"!
I like big thinking, I like to laugh and to make people laugh. I consider myself well-read and articulate, very easy going and pride myself on being a great host and friend. I Keep my friends guessing what I'll come up with next.
I worked as a Marketing guy for 25 years, running companies and working in big corporations. I left that career for a while, living off my savings for 5 years, and exploring all kinds of new ways to explore the world.
It is. Let it be. Smile.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The Couchsurfing experience counters natural human fear of strangers and the resulting tribalism and nationalism that forever plague civil society, with a brilliantly designed framework that fosters trust. Couch surfing matters.
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm offering my place up for any weary travellers who want to just stay for a night or hang for a day or two.
I do like to make people feel welcome in whatever I do, and I like to meet new people.
I've always welcomed friends and strangers into my home, and and thrilled that Couchsurfing.com has formalized the process to make that happen.
I've slept on quite a few couches myself.
Science, Technology, Physics. Metaphysics. The mysteries of micro and quantum physics. The amazing gestalt of consciousness springing from matter. (Or is it the other way around? Are these great mysteries of physics and Being related? Funny Jokes, pranks, parties, being social. Cool, mind-blowing art. Movies. Burning Man!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: All of it
Book: The Self-Aware Universe (Amit Goswami)
Movies: Ink, Sunshine, Pontypool (and other zombie favorites). The Fountain (what beautiful movie on so many levels!) The Road for its realistic depiction of post-apocolypse but with hopefulness. Visually stunning, mind-fuck movies but only if they are saying something interesting or are very clever. Movies where the writer/director really had something to say that was important.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Burning Man (www.burningman.org) was probably the most eye-opening experience I've ever had on so many levels. I attended since 2009 and can't wait to go again in 2017!
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to start and market a business or endeavor. Because of my career I happen to know a lot about the U.S. banking industry and how it works. But don't hold that against me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Spring for your meal over great over conversation, leave you with a smile, clean up after myself and leave no trace.
