I've always dreamed of just travelling the world. Seeing other countries, experiencing cultures, meeting friends I haven't met yet, living an adventurous life. Theres so much out there to explore! My feet itch to see the world!

ABOUT ME

True friendships are a treasure in my life and I value the people around me. I'm respectful and couteous, have a peaceful and gentle nature, alot adventurous and a bit whimsical...much like looking at a garden. You see it as a whole picture, but when you look closer there are many details and surprises. I'm grateful for the many blessings in my life:)Hope is the anchor of my soul...it keeps me sure and steadfast.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't want to get to the end of my life and realize it has passed me by! Life is meant to be enjoyed, every day is a gift.
The journey is the destination:)
Life is not about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain...

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been a member for awhile and haven't actually surfed the couch, but I have connected with various people in local places, to go for coffee, local sightsee, just have tea...its been an enriching experience and a wonderful place to meet new friends:)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly I've stayed in hostels or with friends. I'm looking forward to couchsurfing and the people I'd meet. Altho I love to explore new places I'm not what I consider an average tourist. What I really like about staying with people in their area is to find out and explore their favourite places and go see for myself. And experience the culture of the place, how is life there? That way I can explore interesting places without getting into the tourist trap. I prefer to be off the beaten path, and meeting local people makes a place so much more interesting and personal.

兴趣

hiking, skiing, canoeing/kayaking, riding a motorbike, bicycling,exploring new places, meeting new people, travelling and learning about other cultures, photography,just spending time in nature, gardening, architecture and home decor, appreciating local historical buildings, good coffee and pastries in a local cafe and watching the world go by....

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

flown in a little 4 seater airplane in the arctic, watching the sun come up at noon....brilliant stunning colors on one side, pitch black on the other....makes you realize how great our Creator is!

Pitched a tent close to the Childs' Glacier in Cordova, Alaska for 3 nights and listened to it creak and groan:)it was amazing!

I want to learn Spanish, and French ...it would be handy to know a second language.
Travel and meeting others in different lands expands our thinking and who we are as people. Differnt isn't wrong..its just different and we should learn to celebrate our differences. It enriches our lives.
We can always learn from others if we are open to it.
