Overview
About Me
I'm a professional puppet based artist touring around the continent and the world with my original creations. I grew up in Baltimore, Co. Maryland but had opportunities to spend meaningful time in other countries because of my parents' work and interest in international human rights.
I have spent the last 12 years living in Canada, mostly in Vancouver, but am transitioning to living in Montreal currently.
I often move around so I can see and collaborate with people who are important to me, whom I've met in many different times of my life.
This is the first time I've used couchsurfing.com
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As an artist, I find creativity in all the ways I choose to explore. I believe that strangers can become friends and can support individuals in so many ways. I have found family and meaningful connections all over the world. Over the years of maintaining these connections I've been able to expand my career and creative endeavours, my spirituality and my perspective. I am a very open person and can feel comfortable in almost any circumstance. Being welcomed into someone's home feels like what real life in small communities used to be all about. In this age of digital social isolation and lonely independence. Couchsurfing is a viable alternative to corporate hotel stays. Systems like couchsurfing help make the world a more connected place. That's what traveling is all about.
Interests
I was raised in a socially conscious household in which I was able to travel the world with my family and witness and be engaged with people from many different cultures and backgrounds.
I'm interested in following my passions and creating experiences for others to do the same. Using creativity as a method for exploring the world and solving questions of all kinds.
I'm dedicated to my artistic practice with a strong sense of being grounded and self confident.
I spent the last 5 years going back and forth to India engaging with a specific traditional spiritual practice utilizing sanskrit mantras and rituals.
I love great conversation, food, and living in sustainable ways.
I'd love to find out from you what has brought you to the place you are in now too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I created puppet shows with children and teachers in India and Nepal which addressed issues of trash in our minds and in our environment.
Not only that, but most of my creative work has that kind of awareness within it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach others about what it's like to be a clown, a performer, an educator, a collaborator.
I want to hear your story, even if mundane. Always on the hunt for authentic conversations
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my presence, willingness, comfortability, cooking skills, cleanliness, organization, fun, laughter, weirdness, life stories.
