About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Never stop making myself a better person.

ABOUT ME

Well, ALL about me? I don't know if I can do that since I'd like to think I have more to me than a paragraph or so but I'll give it a shot.

I am a bass player from Mississippi. Music is a big part of what I love to do. I'll listen to anything from Coltrane to Beethoven, Hendrix to Mraz.
When I am not practicing my instrument I am found kayaking and fishing during the summer, and getting beat at Super Smash Brothers and Halo during the school year. I've seen snow three times in my life and it never lasted for more than a day.

I like knowing things. If you want to talk about wine, blowing glass, string theory, or anything else I probably want to hear about it. Philosophy, politics, religion and art are also all fair game. I love good conversation with people who are passionate about what they do.

I am an open minded individual and I'm pretty generally up for anything. I'll sit around and play poker as readily as I'll go hiking or city touring.

PHILOSOPHY

Never stop improving yourself.
Find something to be passionate about.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, really you shouldn't get me going on this.

I'll soak up just about all the music you can throw at me. Right now Jason Robert Brown is playing, an hour ago I think I was listening to a Shostakovitch quartet. Last week I was at a John Mayer concert and last night I was at a Brahms/Beethoven concert. I am excited for the New Orleans Jazz Fest and Bonnaroo this year. I can't wait till the day I get to see Incubus live and wish Freddy Mercury were still alive so I could see him.

I don't get to read as much as I used to though I still love it. One day I hope to be able to sit around and read again. Movies are something I do a lot but I can't ever be critical enough to think a movie is bad.
