ABOUT ME

I like to jump off of things into water and I like to take naps in the sun. I'm currently stayin in Mid-Michigan for a while, and getting ready to do some more school. I want to go into art conservation, but am still doing some prep work for grad school. In the mean time, I'm waitressing and relaxing, enjoying the beautiful fall colors of this area and reacclimating to a change of seasons after being in Florida for seven years. I am anxious to explore around this area, since I haven't been here long. So if you're ever in need of a couch, someone to kind of maybe help you with the lay of the land here (hopefully, haha) or even just someone to have some new adventures with I'm your host!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I donate, have surfed couches in Europe, and made several friends through the couchsurfing website. I have a few couches to offer, though I am currently staying with my parents to save money. They are rather open to CS and very laid back though!

I LOVE to read and have really enjoyed having so much leisure time for books since I've been out of school. I think Frank Herbert's Dune will be the epic they are reading from our time era thousands of years from now but am also into most sci-fi. I also enjoy work by the Beat Generation. Other favorites are Kurt Vonnegut, Ernest Hemingway, Cynthia Shearer, Tom Robbins, Momo by Michael Ende, Pillars of the Earth, Shantaram- too many to keep up with. I don't have cable or watch much tv, but I do keep up with Lost, Community, Glee and a few other shows through the internet. My movie taste is equally varied, but some of my favorites are The Graduate, The Fountain, Forrest Gump, and Ghost in the Shell. Avatar was sweet.
I was raised on the music classics, so it is difficult to get me to stop listening to The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Velvet Underground and Simon and Garfunkel, but I also love Cake, Beck, Jeff Buckley, Joni Mitchell, Animal Collective, Lemon Jelly, etc.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I've only ever seen snow on the beach once and I loved it. It was on Lake Erie, New York and the sand dunes get frozen over and you can just run around slipping and sliding everywhere. It was pretty amazing.
