One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ran down the Vegas Strip in a dress with my best friend desperate not to miss the beginning of the Celine Dion show at Caeser's Palace. She held her heels in her hand as the Bellagio fountains erupted to "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds."

We made it as the curtains were drawn. She opened with a cover of "Open Arms."

We cried. In each other's arms. And if you'll excuse me, I'm crying again.
