Hello,
This is Roos, 37, born and raised in the heart of Amsterdam. I live in Oud West, a mellow neighborhood 5 minutes from the centre by bike, with my 8 year old son and my 1 year old cat. I love this city, its stories and 'the way of life' here.
I love to eat and to laugh and to dance.
I love to race through the city on my bicycle, and to sing on the bike on my way home from a party or such (although I definitely cannot sing).
I love to read and sometimes to write but I don't have much time to do so these days.
I love to travel but I don't have the time or the money to travel a lot these days.
I teach dutch as a second language to foreigners, focussing on conversation.

I was trained as a journalist and worked as one for some years, reporting mostly on human interest stories in former Yugoslavia.
I also worked in (object-)theatre, catering, bars, public relations for theatre and ngo's, and as a circus/clowning trainer for kids.

Music: I can enjoy almost any style of music if it's well performed but to dance to my favorites are funk, soul and rock n roll.
books: I will read almost anything if it's well written but presently I'm reading Ryszard Kapuściński, Imre Kertész
