Overview
About Me
I've been living in Amsterdam for the last 6 years and I like to say that I am a real 'Amsterdammer', but someone who was born and bred in Amsterdam would probably disagree. The fact is that I fell in love with this city.
After graduating as a anthropologist I knew the near future would consist of traveling. This was a bit out of necessity (the world's not really screaming for anthropologist) but also because I have a need to explore.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since September I've been traveling, first in Indonesia and now New Zealand. Here in New Zealand I have experienced the hospitality and generosity of people while hitch hiking. Great conversations and laughs with people that I probably would never have meet if it were not for hitch hiking.
I love to see the world true the eyes of other people; the locals do know the best places. Hidden places that are mostly (maybe even purposely) hidden from tourist.

Music, Movies, and Books
While traveling I've been reading a lot; back home I always plan to read more. As a backpacker cliché I brought ' The Alchemist' which I liked. Now I am stuck with what I happen to find on the bookshelves of hostels, oh well.
My music taste is really diverse depending on my mood: from Fleetwood Mac and Bob Marley to Four Tet.
