Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that you never know what is around the corner, and that goes for stories, experiences and awesome people, so there shouldn't be anyone or anything stopping us from experiencing these stories of discovering them- even (or especially) if that means being a tourist in your own back yard! And that is exactly what I want to do- I love the Perth and Fremantle area and I want to discover all the cool things it has to offer (which, contrary to popular belief) is quite a lot! One of the best ways to do this, I think, is to re-appreciate your city by looking at it through the eyes of an out of town visitor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I help save elephants in Zimbabwe. I was so moved by one Zimbabwean lady's monumental efforts against huge odds to save and protect the elephants in her area, that I started a charity called Running4Elephants to try and raise awareness and funds for her.

Yes, yes and yes again! I love trading tales and do's and don'ts of travel and culture. I think we all have so much to learn from each other. I think we shouldn't be shy, there is no such thing as a stupid question!
