Overview
About Me
My name is Maja,
I used to live in a small but pretty apartment in Stockholm with my cat Greta. I used to cook dinners for my friends or sit alone at my kitchen table with my books or painting colors. Right now I'm traveling around the world.
I like people with the courage to be serious now and then, that sometimes feel small and ok with not having all the answers. I do not like oppression, racism of any kind and people that uses their power to do harm.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm new at couch surfing, and I don't know so much about it, but I think it's a great way of introduce people and to be introduced to new places in the easy way of Sharing.
For now I can't host because I'm out traveling, but in the future I looking forward to do so.
Interests
Writing, reading, watching art in different kinds, cooking (and eating), drinking wine, drinking beer, drinking coffee, talking, listening, observing, learning, laughing, dancing, creating etc.
Music, Movies, and Books
The piano waltzes of Chopin, Kate Bush, Jaques Brel, I really like very different kinds of music. When it comes to movies my interest isn't that big, obviously I like a good movie though. I saw a dance film, Tales of Hoffman (I think) that I liked. I'm in love with a group of Swedish female authors, for example Birgitta Trotzig, Jenny Tunedal, Athena Farrokhzad, Sara Lidman etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watched the sunrise over the Machu Pichu. I was so tired during the Inka Trail, just wanted to give up and be carried back to where I started ( I'm a pretty lazy person and I cried all the way through the Dead Womens Path). But I made it to the end, and to see this beautiful sight, knowing that I sure worked for it; just made my heart clap
