My name is Olivia de Diego, I am 29 years old and I am from Spain. I am currently living in Madrid.
I have been acting since I was 15 years old. I started performing in the streets and the subway coaches of Madrid. Little by little, I made my way up to the stage.

I have always chosen the path of art because I think you can make room in every corner aspect of life, through art we can develop abilities that will help us have a better life but at least a little more human, trying to remove layers imposed by the society in which we live to go back to our desire to play and recognize ourselves in the other, imagination and creativity should join us day by day for us to be self-sufficient.

Since childhood I have been very curious, my hands were full of questions and my steps of possible futures.
But soon I discovered that dreams are only achieved through struggle, with perseverance, patience, and if you never stop dreaming. That´s why I decided to be an actress, little by little I made my way to the stage, I started to travel, to study and try to learn what life offers me.
Throughout my career as an artist I have been fortunate to participate in many projects that filled my heart, as a partner and a creator, and I have crossed my path with people that open their consciousness and their eyes to other possible realities, using concepts such as community , humanity, self management, knowing that together we are able to do, to build, and above all to become more human.
That’s why the Couchsurfing interests me, think that one of the roots of society is culture and we must encourage to share, know our neighbours and fellows around the world to be more caring and aware of what is happening around us, and we should care because culture is what makes us equal. A community with a good cultural base will always have strength to fight and to continue to grow.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have taken part in creating, directing and acting in a play called África. Our company is called Zero a la izquierda, and we were invited last October to perform in the Perimetral International Festival, which takes place in Uruguay. Therefore, we toured around the country for a month along with other companies from all over the world.
Afterwards, I continued travelling in South America – Argentina, Chile, Peru, Bolivia and Brasil- with another partner, in order to do a documentary on social theatre, “Nadie sin teatro” (“Nobody without theater”) for four months. Within this framework, I have worked as a scriptwriter, producer, and reporter.
