We tried couchsurfing once in South America and decided that's a wonderful concept. Travelling only gets better when you really get to know the culture. And what's a better way to get to know the culture than through a local?

Not just one thing, that's impossible! I travelled through South America for half a year and we have done many amazing things. To name you a few:
- Snorkeling with sea lions in the Galapagos Islands
- Climbing the Villarica Vulcano in Pucon, Chile
- Hiking the Inca Trail and seeing the Machu Picchu after 3 days of hiking
- Experiencing the real Patagonia, including bad weather and a tent
- Celebrating Carnival in Rio at the Sambadrome
- Hanging in a hammock with 100 Brazilians for 72 hours just to get from Manaus to Macapa
